Did you end up getting that Olde Growth album? I'm finding out that there are a few (sub) genres of metal that I really like, and the sludgey, "stonery" stuff definitely fits the bill.

Also, Battle Houses are things? I thought that it was just a clever name…

Dude, awesome list! I've only ever listened to two of these (JTB and Drive).
I learned of JEFF from you earlier this year, and they were definitely a contender for my list.
It seems like Tune Yards probably would've made it to my list if I'd have listened to it—I'll have to check it out.
Battle House seems totally righteous (there's a Battle House in Mobile, AL that I used to drive by everyday).
Haven't heard of Cold Cave—reminds me of the Cure, which is a great thing.

Thanks Josh. It was one of those fantastic jobs where the concept got signed off first round, and it was pretty much smooth sailing from there. Of course, all the work that went into that first round was stressful, but I think it pays off in the end.

I don't remember Paola e Chiara, maybe for the best. I do remember that "Butterfly" song, which was thoroughly ridiculous.

One of the best things about music—for me and maybe others too—is how it's often associated with when you discovered it. The original Gorillaz album will definitely always be associated with Italy for me. I think it only makes the songs richer.

Thanks Josh! I've spent so much damn time making a site look passable in IE, I've got no patients for it anymore.

I would say that the WP-Disqus integration is pretty good. There's a bit of a disconnect on the back end (ie. comments don't show up in the normal comments section), but otherwise it's pretty good. I really like how it brings together FB, Twitter and blog comments in one place.

I've been getting a lot less spam too.

I've been using Disqus for integration with Tumble and IntenseDebate for integration with WordPress. I didn't know that Disqus could be used with WP. I might just have to switch over.
